
Some 20,000 Air India staffers are currently on a hunger strike in order to protest proposed cuts in their pay!
The move comes as Air India is reeling from a billion dollars in losses and debts as high as $4 billion.
So Air India is looking to cut about $100 million in staffing costs — and its staff are not pleased.
Twenty thousands of them are currently on a three-day hunger strike to protest the wage cuts — as well as a new scheme linking salary to performance-pegged bonuses.
