Remember last month when NBC’s Ann Curry took on CNN’s Rick Sanchez at Twitter’s two-day 140 Characters Conference in NYC?
We do — since we were there.
The first-of-its-kind event may have been all about Twitter, but it managed to lure those sexy anchors as well as capture the attention of most of Gotham’s media.
Thanks goes to Jeff Pulver — who organized the entire affair and made his name (and sizable fortune) some years back as the main brain bhind VOIP, the voice-over-Internet proxy used by folks like Skype and Vonage for low (or no) cost phone calls.
Anyway, right after NYC’s 140 Conference, Pulver (above, second from left, with Curry, Sanchez and other Twitterati) headed for the Holy Land, where we hear he is attempting to organize another 140 Conference in Tel Aviv (following London and Los Angeles this fall).
While there, Pulver — who’s not exactly a looked, if we may say — managed to get himself on the set of “Mesudarim”, the Israeli TV show on which the US program Loaded on the Fuse Network is based.
While we’ve never watched either version of the show, it’s basically an Entourage for newly-rich tech-heads (kinda like Pulver himself)
Pulver must have been a hit on the Mesudarim (“all set” in Hebrew) studios, because he scored a cameo which debuts on Israeli TV tonight!
We’re curious to see how it all turns out — and will try to get a copy of the clip ASAP.
