REVEALED: Gay Men Make Better College Students

A new study from the folks over at the ultra-nerdy sounding Economics of Education Review journal has concluded that Gay men do better on college campuses than their straight counterparts.

According to this first-of-its-kind study, Gay guys are averaging about two percent higher on their GPAs than hetero guys. They’re also nearly 1.5 times more likely to make their academic work a priority and some 40 to 50 percent more likely to do volunteer work or participated in student groups.

Unsurprisingly, the respondents were far less likely to belong to fraternaties!

Interestingly, Lesbians students perform at about the same levels as straight females — though bisexual women are having a hard time on campus.

“But behavioral bisexuals (who are overwhelmingly female) do a lot worse. They spend significantly less time studying,” the study notes. “They’re much less satisfied with their academic work. They think their academic work is less important than do other women. Bisexual women are not having as good a college experience.”
