WE SUPPORT: Moroso's Madame Dakar Chair

madame-dakar_05

Debuted at Aprils Salone del Mobile furniture fair in Milan, the Madame Dakar chair is one of a clutch of chic-ethnique pieces set to debut from Italian manufacturer Moroso later this year.

The pieces were created by designers Ayse Birsel and Bibi Seck, who view the Madame Dakar Chair as enveloping the body much like a hammock.

Yes!

Birsel is Turkish-born, Seck is French-Senegalese and the two are based in NYC.

Their Africa-inspired collection for Moroso was literally created in Africa itself, with Seck living in Dakar where he collaborated with Salam Gaye, who leads the Moroso Lab in West Africa.
