This sounds a little too good to be true, but we kinda think it is. For folks with a spare — oh — month on their hands, the ultra-luxe Soneva Gili (above) and sister Soneva Fushi resorts in the Maldives are offering a crazy-cool package.
Perfect for a burned-out banker or rail-thin celeb suffering from “exhaustion”, the resorts will offer guests who pay for two weeks — two more weeks for free! Yes, free. One month total.
The catch. Like Naomi Campbell in downtown Manhattan last year or Lindsay in Los Angeles — guests gotta committ to daily community service on the island.
Luckily, community service in a tropical island context mostly consists of teaching English to local kids, cleaning up the beach, making brooms or thatched roofs, helping in the local clinic. And, guests need only work for four of their 14 free days — leaving 10 days more for uninterrupted bliss.
The free stay does not include food — but it does promise lots of fun.
The deal is dubbed “The Eco Seasons Offer Package” and begins June 1 (aka tomorrow) and runs through December 22. Some press have reported that reservations must be confirmed three months in advance. But we JUST (as in seven seconds ago) called the hotel directly and it is still very much available.
