Russian-born, New York-based gay porn mogul Michael Lucas is headed to the Holy Land — arriving in Israel later this month where he plans to shoot the first ever gay porno using only Israeli models.

According to Lucas’ team, he and his crew will be in Israel for a near two week shoot — the first time ever a full-length homo-porno has been shot in Israel using only Israeli actors.

If this were not enough to get Israel’s notoriously squeamish religious right up in arms — there’s more. The Jewish Lucas — born Andrei Treyvas Bregman — is a big-time Zionist who gave up his Russian citizenship when he left for America.

Whilst in Israel for the shoot, Lucas will now become AN OFFICIAL ISRAELI CITIZEN, claiming his right to an Israeli passport as full-blooded Jew under Israel’s Law of Return.

“I’m very excited to be both an American and Israeli citizen and I gave up my Russian identity long ago, as I believe your motherland is where your heart is,” Lucas said this week. “My heart belongs to both the United States and Israel.”

As the camel in the photo above suggests, this is not the first time Lucas has been to Israel. During 2006’s Lebanon War, Lucas visited Israel to “cheer up the gay troops” as he said at the time, and shed light on the dangers faced by gay soldiers at the hands of Hizbullah!

No word on whether new citizen Lucas himself will face mandatory time in the Israeli army.
